How many of you do this for a living? Can you tell me about locating, land sizing, income, expenses, etc?

My friend and I were looking to purchase land this summer, 5-10 acres and start a farm. Essentially our goals include a market garden and eventually some more refined products such as sauces and hot sauces, honey, etc. We’re also in an area thats favorable for a wide range of fruit. We want to stick to solely organic practices and have a decent amount for funding to get us off the ground.

Im not in this to get rich or anything, simply want to see how many people out there are really making a sustainable living. What are some things you’d indicate to business wise to people like us?
